The Tears of Heaven

The tears of Heaven instigated by a sinful, fallen creation.
They were manifested in
- an illegal trial in the dead of night
- pure hatred flashing in the eyes of the shouting accusers
- the crack of a whip repeatedly biting into tender flesh
- spittle running down a bruised and battered cheek
- a crown of thorns sunk deep into the sensitive skin of the scalp
- the sarcasm of a purple robe
- angry taunts from a mob that did not understand

- a mocking sign declaring King of the Jews

- nails driven through and crushing the fragile bones in the hands and feet

- destruction ushered in by sin

The tears of heaven were evidenced by 
- blood stained garments
- a blood soaked cross 
- the blood spattered ground at its base.
The atoning sacrifice of blood wipes out all sin and death and ushers in mercy, love and forgiveness. 

Tears of blood shed for you and me to bring forgiveness for all time.

Isaiah 53:5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 
6  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 

Mat 26:67  Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands, 

Mat 27:26  Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified. 
27  Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.
28  And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
29  And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
30  And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.
31  And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him. 

Mat 27:37  And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS. 

Mat 27:50  Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

Mat 28:5  And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6  He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Mat 28:18  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.


Rev 21:4  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
