Just to Clarify

If you read my blog, you will notice that I capitalize Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Grandma.  The English language does not call for these words to be capitalized unless they are at the beginning of a sentence.  However, my parents and grandparents are important to me and since I do not call them by their first names, I choose to capitalize Mom, Dad, etc.  It's my rebellious way of honoring them.  I suppose it could be argued that if I was really honoring them, then I would stick to The Rules, however, for now, I choose to capitalize them as I always have even though I know it's wrong.  Incidentally, the fact that I know it's wrong and do it anyway, is a BIG step for a still trying to reform perfectionist! But that's a topic for a different post...

If you want to adhere to the rules of the English language, get your own blog.  I'll stick to most of the others, except maybe comma usage, because I can't remember all of the exceptions.  I also use the occasional run-on sentence and/or sentence fragment for my own personal amusement and I use really short paragraphs sometimes to make a point.  Sometimes, I make up words from time to time.

If you don't like that, then may I suggest that you Carpe Bloge.  In other words, Seize the Blog; your own, I mean, I'm not real great at Latin either as you can plainly see. Not to mention the fact that there was no such thing as a blog when Latin was still a language that people actually spoke and therefore I just made up a Latin-ish looking version of the word "blog".

Now, carpe diem,  except for it's 3:00 am so I am going to carpe nightem.

I'm sure you can figure it out...
